Sun Drop the Maiden

A petite little Pueblo Maiden quietly watching the Summer Rain dances at the Plaza.  A hand carved Elk Antler maiden fetish adorn with a hand carved Gold Mother of Pearl feather & pinned with Sterling Silver in her traditionally styled hair. Eyes are inlaid with Black Pen Shell and her mouth, red Mediterranean Coral. A beautiful necklace with drops of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, Lapis, Malachite and Mediterranean Coral.  Highlights of Lapis and Black Jet pigments detail her shawl with incised hem on her skirt.  Her moccasins are inlaid with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, incised then burnished for detail and contrast.  Artist: Ray Tsalate Signed: Tsalate About: 1 3/4"T by 1 1/8"W by 3/4"D Item# 1643
