Off the Map

Off the Map Ink and pigment on stained, printed and carved wood panels 38.5" x 30" x 2" 2015 $3600   This piece is a culmination 4 unique pieces, cut into strips and reassembled with others from the same series. This deconstruction of taking something finished and then re-building it in a new and possibly better way seemed to be more about my impression of the housing and construction market in SF, one that is the most expensive in the country, possibly the world. Observing the flipping of real estate and the cycles of housing improvements being more about individual taste than necessity.
