Drone #1 - For Tony Conrad

This print edition was made while listening to Tony Conrad’s minimalist drone recordings. This is the first in a new series of letterpress prints by Richard Kegler. The imagery is derived from a simple array of 22 1pt. rules rotated and printed 12 times and again and again with a slight shift with each cycle. A fourth cycle of rotation printed 8 times finishes the print with a total of 44 impressions. The visual harmonics of the intersecting lines create circular forms also known as a Moiré pattern.  • 16" × 20"• Printed in black with 44 distinct impressions• Boxcar Flurry cover stock• Signed and numbered• Limited edition of only 15
