AN AUTHENTIC REPLICA OF THE “C” WORN BY THE 1939 LOOKOUTS History: Chattanooga won the Southern Association regular season title in 1939 with a record of 85-65. Kiki Cuyler was the manager, and Dick Lanahan led the pitching staff with an ERA of 2.95 and nineteen wins, a league best. The Lookouts were defeated in the post-season playoffs by the Atlanta Crackers. This cap is an authentic replication of the on-field cap worn by the Lookouts in 1939, made with red wool broadcloth and finished with a navy-blue-on-cream felt “C”.
