REPLICA ON-FIELD BASEBALL SWEATERS JUST LIKE HOW THEY WORE IT History: The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul supported two American Association teams – the Millers and Saints – for several decades, so the area was a natural place to look for Senators owner Cal Griffith when he was considering moving his team. A new modern park had been built for the Millers in Bloomington, and it could be easily expanded to meet MLB requirements. The new Twins debuted in 1961, and they would quickly achieve success that eluded them in the nation’s capital, winning their first AL pennant in 1965. When we released our first collection of shawl-collar MLB sweaters, we were delighted with the response.
