Bottom Whorl Drop Spindle

This bottom whorl drop spindle is made by Lovingly Grown Fiber Arts in Chamblee, GA, and is excellent for beginner hand spinners and hobbyists alike. The wood used in these spindles is sourced from sustainable and renewable forests. The 2-inch birch whorl being at the bottom of the shaft prevents the wobble that is common in top whorl drop spindles. The birch shaft is 9-inches in length. The hook has a 1⁄2 inch opening, making this perfect for spinning any type of yarn, from fine fingering weight to bulky art yarn. The spindle is sanded smooth and finished with natural, hypoallergenic hemp oil. Weight is approximately 1 oz.
