Men’s role in contraception is not really talked about in today’s conversation. The weight of contraception has been set upon the women in most cases. Through the many forms of contraception for women, we see these things being taken away especially in abortion care and abortion contraception. Laws are being formed to eliminate these choices. Women are seeing the brunt of these laws thrown at them for continuing pregnancies at any cost including at the loss of their lives. Artist Statement: My artwork speaks to the ethereal aspects of the spirit in men and women. I use abstracted avian images to foster my ideas in hand carved wooden sculptures.
