BIO: Jen Violette’s unique landscapes combine soft looking hand blown glass ‘hills’ or ‘drifts’ and small bronze barns or glass houses, greatly inspired by the many historic farm dwellings that dot the rolling hills of bucolic Vermont. For those who don’t live in the foothills of the Green Mountains, or otherwise have a peaceful little oasis to which they can regularly escape, Violette’s lighthearted, imaginative, and bright landscapes are a fine substitute. Jen Violette began working with glass at Alfred University in 1991 at age 18, and has been working with molten glass for the past 33 years.
