5x7 Toned cyanotype and watercolor on paper. Unframed, sealed with archival varnish. Inspiration: Unlike the rest of the series, this flower is more delicate—its petals smaller and more fragile in appearance. It was also the most experimental piece; I used bubbles and plastic wrap to create some of the texture. At one point, I almost left it out of the series—but over time, it grew on me. Sometimes, the way forward isn't the same as the path that brought us here. The Series at Large: Becoming was born out of self-reflection and a desire to pause and ask: Who am I? Who am I becoming? And is the path I’m on still the right one for the person I hope to grow into?What began as four large-scale works somehow turned into a full story—with seven smaller pieces rounding out the series, each holding its own little whisper of truth.
