Ballet Study I' by Jennifer Paxton. Raised in Richmond, Jen’s parents encouraged her talent of drawing from a young age. Heavily influenced by her grandfather’s library of personal sketchbooks, she focused on realism, figurative work and portraiture. Jen received her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001. Originally working in mainly graphite & pastel, she has expanded to watercolor and acrylic in a wide range of subject matter. After a successful career in fashion, Jen now resides back in Richmond happily balancing raising her 2 children and creating art.
