Reissue of the 1972 krautrock classic by Guru Guru on CD & vinylSound remastered by Johannes Scheibenreif and for fans ofBroselmaschine, Amon Duul 2, Xhol Caravan & Can."Kanguru" is the third album by Guru Guru, releasedin 1972 on the Brain label. It was produced by Conny Plank and featured the 'classic' Guru Guru line- up of AxGenrich (guitar), Uli Trepte (bass) and Mani Neumeier (drums, vocals). Kanguru is basically made up of the same ingredients as its two predecessors Ufoand Hinten, which were released on Rolf Kaiser's Ohr label in 1970 and 1971.This is pure Krautrock, the album contains only 4 tracks, all between 10 and 15minutes long. But the band moves away from the disorganized chaos of the previous two albumsand gives the songs more structure, reducing the amount of heaviness. At the sametime, the humorous component increases, see for example Mani Neumeier's spokenword in the introduction of Immer lustig. In short, Kanguru is a Krautrock gem.
