Brown evidently has, or had, a monthly called American Police Beat, and worked with Boston PD in some capacity, so while I don't think she was a cop, she does have some behind-the-scenes intel on what one blurb calls "the police and their unique way of life." (Said blurb is from Joseph Wambaugh, for what it's worth.) A nice, crisp, straight paperback with bookmark flaps; some edge- and cornerwear, a couple rub marks to the cover, but otherwise clean and bright. A fine reading copy.
