By Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. “In Robert Kennedy’s life we see the panorama of mid-century America,” the jacket flap of Vol. 1 claims, and I think that’s true. The jackets on both these hardcovers have seen better days — nicks, small tears, soiling to the spines — but they’ve done pretty well to protect the boards. Some edge soiling to the pages, but inside, nice and neat, no writing or dog-ears that I can see. A good research set. (NB: The set will not be split up.)
