It is suggested that all extension springs use a protective cable for safety. This cable runs the entire length of the spring to prevent it from causing harm or damage when it breaks. Additionally, it is mandatory to use these cables in California. This cable is Galvanized Carbon Steel Cable (GAC type 7 X 7) and it is resistant against rust and moisture.
