The Porsche 928 is a German passenger car (so-called grand tourer) that was first presented to the public in 1977 at the Geneva Motor Show. Its serial production was carried out in the years 1977-1995, and in its course about 61,000 cars of this model were produced. It was concentrated, especially in the early days, in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany. The 928 model was designed and implemented for production in connection with the Porsche brand's strategy of extending the product offer and supplementing the 911 model (or its possible successor) with a new car, powered by an 8-cylinder engine.
