Octavia's Parables

'Octavia's Parables' is a 11x14 inch hand-carved linoleum block print in ombre teal and green ink on hand-made natural fiber paper. The print reads a quote from my favorite author-- Octavia E. Butler: "All that you touch, you change. All that you change, changes you. The only lasting truth is change. God is change." The quote is a massively important quote from one of my favorite books of hers, Parable of the Sower. This print had been living in my mind for 4 years and has come to me during 2022 when my biggest lesson for the year was 'Flow like water'-- change is inevitable.    'Octavia's Parables' is offered in three paper colorways: natural while, natural brown, and natural green.   *Please note that due to the nature of hand-carved linoleum block printing, every print will have its own unique quality.
