Pair of 1950s Armchairs by Jindrich Halabala

A pair of armchairs by Czech furniture designer J. Halabala. Made in the 1950s, distinctive bentwood furniture designs were produced in Central European furniture factories throughout the mid-20th Century. The eye-catching silhouette and comfortable shape have had an enduring appeal. Influenced by Modern and Art Deco design, a deep upholstered seat upon curved wooden feet is framed by the dramatic curves of the bentwood armrests.
