Intro to Spinning

Or, have you had to pass up one of those amazing handspun yarns because it was just too expensive for your budget? Spinning your own yarn is the solution! Not only can you learn to spin specific yarn for a project, but you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you created your special item from the very beginning. Join us to learn the art/craft of spinning fiber into yarn.   Our spinning class is a two-session class, one week apart so participants have time to work on skills learned. Students can spin on either a wheel or on a spindle, your choice. At our first class, you will learn the basics of how your wheel works, and how to treadle your wheel while spinning yarn (making singles), or how a spindle works and the best way to introduce twist into yarn.
