Emerson Pant and Short - True Bias

This advanced beginner pattern makes a classy and neat pull-on crop pants or shorts with an elasticized back and flattering front waistband. This pattern is absolutely perfect for light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton, rayon challis, and chambray. Views A and B have a mid rise that sits just below the natural waist. Views C and D have a high rise that sits over the belly button. All views have front pleats and side pockets. Views A and C are a cropped, wide leg pant, hitting a couple of inches above the ankle. Views B and D are a short with an approximate 4 inch inseam. In addition to the fabric you will need: Coordinating thread, lightweight fusible interfacing (0.25 yds), 1 1/2” wide elastic (1 yd), safety pin.
