Dabu block printed fabric is a traditional Inidian textile art form that used a mud-resist printing technique. The process involves hand-carving wooden blocks, applying a mud paste (dabu) to resist areas from dyeing, and then using natural dyes, often indigo, to create intricate patterns. Our cottons from India are block printed by hand, resulting in a gorgeously unique fabric ideal for tops, scarves, jacket linings, quilts, and similar projects.
