2004 Hetfurtos Tokaji Cuvee Vulcanus

Winemaker: János Árvay Deep amber colour. Dried apricots, rosehip, tobacco, aszú, ground pepper notes blend harmonically with ground pepper. Flavours go from dried apricots, prunes, raisins and rosehip to tobacco only to say its farewell in a very long vibrant finish. 1997 was a very difficult year, hence the lack of aszú in the wine region. The 2 barrels of aszú we made that year had base wine harvested in snow and selected aszú grapes, fermented and aged in French used barrels for 3 years.
