Rolex Air-King Ref #126900 2022

For decades, the Air-King featured a traditional Rolex dress watch design set. However, in 2016, ref. 116900 hit the market, featuring a polarizing dial modeled after the dashboard instruments developed by Rolex for the Bloodhound SSC. With the 2016 release, the collection adopted a sportier design more akin to Rolex's professional series. Rolex upgraded the Air-King once again in 2022 via ref. 126900. It looks similar to the ref. 116900, but with a newer movement, a new case, and a few upgrades to the dial. The case is now equipped with crown guards and features the caliber 3230 Perpetual movement with a longer 70-hour power reserve. Rolex added a zero to the 5-hour marker, reading "05" instead of "5," and the 3/6/9 hour markers are now fully-lumed, replacing the silvered hour markers on ref. 116900.
