Our Review of the new Scarpa 4-Quattro SL Alpine Touring Boot:  The Scarpa 4-Quattro SL Alpine Touring Boot is the newest arrival from the alpine touring leaders at Scarpa. The Scarpa 4-Quattro SL Alpine Touring Boot becomes one of the lightest Hybrid Touring boots with a Gripwalk (ISO9523) Sole. Why is this so important? Now, you can truly have one pair of touring boots that you can still rip in your Gripwalk compatible alpine ski bindings. Previously, you had limited alpine binding options with many of the Scarpa alpine touring boots.  The 4-Quattro SL will be the softest of the models, coming in at 120 flex in the SL version and a low platform sole. Being low platform will give you better contact with the ski of your choice for boosted performance. The 120 flex rating is a perfect intermediate to advanced / expert stiffness that can charge hard in and out of bounds.
