The Chichibu 'The US Edition' Single Malt 2023 is a distinguished and limited-release Japanese whisky crafted exclusively for the U.S. market by the Chichibu Distillery, founded by Ichiro Akuto in Saitama, Japan. Key Features: Composition: This single malt is made from 100% malted barley, with a significant portion being heavily peated, contributing to its robust flavor profile. Fermentation and Distillation: The whisky undergoes a 100-hour fermentation process in Mizunara oak washbacks, a type of Japanese oak known for imparting complex flavors. It is then distilled twice using traditional Forsyths copper pot stills.
