Compass Box Asyla Blended Scotch Whisky Old Label Release Compass Box Whisky is a Scotch whisky producer, headquartered in Chiswick, London. Founded in 2000 by John Glaser, it produces a range of single malt, single grain, and blended scotch whiskies. Compass Box Whisky’s first commercial release was the blended grain whisky, Hedonism. The Peat Monster – a blend of heavily peated Islay and medium peated Highland malts – was released in 2004, followed a year later by The Spice Tree. Unfortunately, The Spice Tree broke Scotch Whisky Association (SWA) regulations for its use of French oak staves and production halted. A reinvention was later launched in 2009 that complied with the SWA regulations. Hedonism, The Spice Tree and The Peat Monster all belong to Compass Box Whisky’s 'Signature Range', which also includes Asyla and Oak Cross.
