Christophe et Fils Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre 2022 A slightly fuller yellow colour though still with a green tint. Here the opulence of the fruit is the most evident with a peachy note. A slight honeysuckle note indicates the ripeness of the fruit. Several layers of flavour interweaved here, with some tannins in the structure. This is ripe but well balanced, with a lot more to be revealed later on. Drink from 2027-2033. Sebastien Christophe started with a small inheritance of just a couple parcels of Petit-Chablis and in a little over a decade he has managed to accumulate some prime plots throughout the appellation, including 1er and Grand Crus.
