Willett Family Estate Reid & Emerald V 7 Year Rye Single Cask 767 Really nice nose with lots of caramel notes, with peanuts in the background. Caramel, toffee, chocolate and ending with peanuts.  A few drops of water does this one well, bringing out some rye spice, which increases through the finish. Willett Distillery is a Bourbon and rye whiskey producer in Bardstown, Kentucky. The Willett family has a strong history in the whiskey industry with members producing whiskey shortly after the Civil War. The business in its modern form was founded by Thompson and Johnny Willett in 1936 on the family farm. In 1984 , the company was purchased by Even Kulsveen, Thompson's son-in-law forming Kentucky Bourbon Distillers Ltd. The brand remains within the family holdings.
