An intriguing and memorable marriage of flavors. Tamnavulin distillery was founded in 1966, when John Lennon first met Yoko, and with the pure underground springs, they started making fine Single Malts. But the distillery was closed down in 1995 and was reopened more than two decades later. Their Single Malt was mostly used in blends and sometimes a few barrels would come out as indie expressions. Tamnavulin Tempranillo Cask Edition is a Speyside Whisky that was first aged in American oak barrels before being finished in casks that used to hold Tempranillo red Wine. The finishing process imparted the liquid with a brilliant colour and a berry-forward character. Sip on flavors of chocolate raisins, dates, dried apple, roasted cocoa notes, apricot, and nectarine.
