Istine, Chianti Classico 2020
The Fronti family has agricultural roots in the Chianti Classico region extending to 1959, when Bruno Fronti established an agribusiness that specializes in vineyard and farm management, as well as earth moving. In the 1980s the family began to purchase vineyard landand produce wine, but apart from a small amount for family consumption, the wine was always sold in bulk to other wineries. Enter the second generation of family members, led by Angela Fronti, and beginning with just 250 cases in the 2009 vintage, Istine began to bottle their own wines. Constantly improving over the past fourteen years, the estate is now certified organic in the vineyards as of 2016. Beginning in 2012, they began to focus on single parcel vinfications - a rarity in Chianti - to best highlight the differences between their exceptional plots. Their wines have been received with growing international acclaim for their elegance, freshness and minerality. About the cuvee: Their entry level Chianti Classico is a
