American Fringe Tree, Chionanthus virginicus

Stunning small tree that makes a statement in the spring garden! Clusters of fragrant white flowers float on branches as leaves emerge in mid-spring. Mature trees reach 12-20' tall and wide. Separate male and female trees. Female trees develop drupes of dark blue fruit if pollinated. Yellow fall color. Great for full sun to part shade areas in hardiness zones 3-9.
