19th Century Anglo-Colonial Two-Part Bone Inlaid Cabinet

Description A work of art. This piece is an exceptional look at a painstaking practice of an ancient art form. For centuries, artisans on the continents of Africa and Asia, practiced the craft of intarsia, or more commonly, bone inlay. The bone used was more often than not camel bone. The contrast between the ivory bone and the deep wood gives it depth and design that is just as beautiful today as it was then. This piece is extremely versatile.
