The whisky was crowd-funded two-years ago on Kickstarter.com by a Hispanic woman in California named Carin Luna-Ostaseski, after years of searching for a way to introduce her friends to Scotch whisky and challenge the idea that scotch is ?your grandfather?s drink?. The name SIA means ?six? in Scottish Gaelic, which happens to be the Carin's favorite number.
