The RBOLS-510 Optical Laser Source is a great to have tool for fiber optic plant managers and fiber optic technicians. An Optical Laser Source is used to accurately determine the Insertion Loss (IL) of each fiber segment measured. RBOLS-510 is designed to work best with the RBOPM-500 power meter. Both units support Wave ID feature. The Laser Source unit has a backlit LCD display and protective orange rubber casing similar with the RBOPM-500 design. RBOLS-510 is factory calibrated for 1310nm, 1490nm and 1550nm wavelengths Singlemode fiber operation. Variation of the source level has a stability of +/- 0.05dBm for 1 hour of operation. Three AA batteries are required to operate the laser source, batteries are NOT included. Standard ferrule connector has 2.5mm for the OLS embedded tool suitable for SC, ST and FC optical connectors.
