SFP Gigabit modules, special single strand BiDi(WDM) 1310/1490nm

Product description The newest SFP series of 1.25Gsingle strandoptical modules designed to run over Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks are now available to customers. The SFS-7010-WC and SFS-7010-WD are using1310nmand1490nmwavelengths, leaving the 1550nm lambda free for the HFC unidirectional signal. This technology allows usage of the existing hybrid fiber network to also transmit Gigabit Ethernet data. While the 1550nm is occupied by the television network signal, the new SFP's use a safe window channel on 60nm to provide Gigabit Ethernet data communications over same single strand of fiber. The technology of these SFP's is similar to the traditional 1310/1550nm WDM single strand modules, but the 1550nm wavelength has been replaced with 1490nm. Using existing scarce resources of HFC fiber networks to carry Gigabit Ethernet close to the curb or subscriber is a key element in boosting network capacity and network access at a fraction of the cost. On severely tight networks, having the ch
