A sterling silver horse shoe and a ten carat gold fill fencing medal. This is a piece that has been constructed using the best of old and the best of new. The medal that has been sourced is a gorgeous piece of Art Deco design. It features a pair of crossed sabres and a fencing mask in the center of stepped Art Deco frame, and the iconic N.Y.U name of New York University at the bottom. Engraved on the back is the name R.A. Cinader 1947-8. This is the individual that won the medal at the university that year. Robert A Cinader was an American television producer best known for his work on two Jack Webb's television shows on NBC; Adam-12 and Emergency!. Cinader was instrumental in promoting the widespread adoption of paramedic services by fire departments and hospitals across the United States.
