Hermès Horse Head Desk Set

A silver plate and crystal pair of desk accessories adorned with a fine casting of a horse head.  These fabulous pieces have been expertly carved in France, and were then sent out to retail at Hermès boutiques.  The first piece is a stunning and large convex crystal magnifying glass and paper weight.  This piece can be put over text or images to greatly magnify desired areas.  This model was made with a few different subject matters on the handle by Hermès including a golf ball, stag's head a well as this horse head.  The second piece from this series is the oversized paper clip with matching horse head. This can be used to keep files or large stacks of paper organised.  Both pieces are signed "Hermès Paris" along with the maker mark for Ravinet D'Enfert.  D'Enfert made the majority of the larger homeware pieces for Hermès in the mid to late part of the 20th Century.  Both pieces are presented in superb condition.  Made in France, circa 1960's.
