An eighteen carat yellow gold stick pin of a parrot on a perch. This is a very unusual subject matter to find in a stick pin, and it is very well executed, even down to the texture of the feathers in the body. There is an old cut ruby in one eye, and an old mine cut amethyst in the other eye. The bird has a very happy feel to it, and would make a perfect accessory for the modern day pirate! The pin comes in a period leather covered stick pin box. European made, circa 1900.
