
Private Label (Case of 24): Pie Crust Mix
This delicious flaky pie crust mix will become a golden treat when filled with your choice of fruit or berries. Just add cold butter, margarine or shortening and cold water, and a sprinkle of sugar. DIRECTIONS FOR ONE DOUBLE 8” OR 9” PIE CRUST: You will also need: 8 tablespoons cold butter, margarine or solid shortening and 4-5 tablespoons ice cold water. Measure 2-1/4 cups of this mix into a bowl. Cut in cubed butter with two knives until particles are the size of small peas. While stirring with fork, sprinkle water over mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, just until all flour is moistened and forms a ball. Divide dough in half. Wrap each half in plastic wrap and chill in freezer for 20 minutes. Roll one ball into a circle large enough to line the bottom of a pie dish. Place in pie dish and add 5-6 cups of sliced fruit or berries. Roll other ball into a circle large enough to fit over top of pie dish when full. Place on top of filling.
