To open the relay, +24 volts is applied to the ""S"" terminal and ground on the ""I"" terminal. No voltage is required for the relay to stay open or closed, All it takes is a momentary application of 24 volts from a remote (ON)/OFF/(ON) switch. On most Sea Ray boats, these battery disconnect switches are located on the MDP Main distribution Panel in the cabin.
