We went big with the front step as it is the most used. Then the side steps taper back toward the rear of the van. This tapered design allows the van to more easily navigate tight terrain and not get hung up on rocks, logs etc. Additionally, we extended the driver's side tube all the way down the van to help protect the rocker of the van. Size Matters - Vans are big vehicles, and if you're anything like us, you're always trying to squeeze your van down tight trails.
