Minimalist, modern, and boho chic! This ring is composed of a free formed prong setting ring which I hand crafted myself. Originally the band was intended for a different gemstone. I wasn't happy with the result. So I set t off to the side and waited for a better idea. I had been wanting to get a genuine oval opal in so I ordered it. When the opal arrived I got an idea, set the gem and it fit perfectly! What a happy accident! This is rustically inspired but tastefully made for those who love the beautiful raw look with a sparkle center piece which makes me call it starlight! Very classically detailed and makes a great gift as well! The prongs are made with hand soldered 20 gauge wire which was shortened and filed for rounded prong ends, the soldered atop a 16 gauge band for stacking purposes.
