100% Savagnin Isolated plot in the hills of Mesnay, surrounded by forest. Limestone scree deposits on marnes grises du lias (grey marls of the Jura). Grapes from this plot are always the last to be harvested, due to its cooler climate and exposure. A rare and "abundant" vintage. Following a slow, 72-hour pressing using a vertical basket press, the juice is transferred down into the cellar using gravity only. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occur in barrel, where the wine is then aged for four years. Bottled by hand.  Vines removed from plot in January 2024 due to extremely low productivity. New plantation to come.
