Brooke Bartholomew is a figurative oil painter, nurse, and community organizer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her work infuses a classically-inspired approach to the figure with contemporary sociopolitical commentary, bringing attention to important current events while critiquing the dominant power structures that cause them. After working as a pediatric CVICU nurse since 2016, Brooke received her MFA in 2023, and now splits her time between painting, organizing with her community, and enjoying nature.
