Ban-Ei Japanese Eyedropper Fountain Pen handmade by Japanese lathe-master Eisuke Sakai and Tsuchida Shuichi, who was in charge of final assembly. This pen features a Warranted 14K Gold Fine nib made by the Platinum Pen company. After nibmeister Ginjiro Kabutogi's retirement in the early-to-mid 1990's, Ban-Ei began seeking an alternative for their nibs, and often used nibs produced by Platinum or Sailor. These nibs are easily identifiable by their unique shapes and writing experiences.  This pen has had the worn out, original cork shutoff valve seal replaced with o-rings.
