In 2021, the Seiko Time Company celebrated their 140th anniversary by reissuing the King Seiko name to a limited production of high-end, vintage inspired timepieces. Limited to just 1700 pieces, the King Seiko SJE087 is heavily inspired by the KS 44-9990 produced in the late 60's by the brand. The reissue features an enlarged 38mm case size, a sapphire crystal, an upgraded movement from Seiko's 6L series of Calibers, and the iconic Gold Shield Medallion on the caseback.
