Ahead of her upcoming Christian Indie Folk-Pop EP, Christian Indie folk-pop artist, Geryah Dingle, follows up her debut single, 'Missionary' with her newest release, "But I Used to Be." With its calming exploration of different sounds, feelings, and beats with lyrics all pointing to a Higher place, the original studio recording incorporates drums, guitar, piano, and synthesizers for a Lo-fi Christian Contemporary chill mood with rhythmic beats. "But I Used to Be" is an introspective look into one's past and the role one might have had in some of their actions' consequences. That person is now saying, "I demand a new man," starting anew and no longer listening to that negative voice, but instead giving it all to God.
