The surface is an amazing premium acrylic. Markers erase completely from the acrylic surface. 8 piece chalk ink marker set included!  This set has an extra fine tip for writing in small spaces. We include ALL needed hanging hardware to attach to each side of the back of the frame. Because the board is hung with hardware on each side, it won't move around as you write and erase on it, in contrast to boards hung with 1 nail in the middle.
