Savory Leaf Summer c/s (satureja hortensis)

If you grill chicken , pork chops , lamb or vegetables this season , try savory  leaf in your grilling blends.  It is an awesome flavor of pepper, thyme and some hint of mint. An herbal tea made from savory  has been used for sore throat, gum inflammation,  and as a gargle. Monks of the middle ages were not allowed to grow savory because they thought it to be a very powerful aphrodisiac.  I guess that would put an extra kick to your grilled chicken
