These sapphire crystals are wonderful specimens from Korawita, 5km from Nivithigala Sri Lanka. The pale blue sapphire is natural, just as it was found in the earth. The blue sapphire crystal has been heat treated, and you can see the richer blue color and softened edges due to the heating process. A wonderful and rare glimpse into the origins of many of our Sri Lankan mined sapphires!
