  Honor Your Volunteer Commitment with the American Citizenship Award The American Citizenship Award (ACA) recognizes student members of the Global Volunteer Recognition Program who demonstrate strong character, civic responsibility, and a commitment to school and community service. This nationally respected honor is presented by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP). This award is available exclusively to elementary, middle, and high school members of the Global Volunteer Recognition Program who meet the ACA criteria listed below.
